CAVES OF VOLCANO TOLBACHIK

1 day. Arrival. Meeting at airport Elizovo of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy. Transfer to the hotel. Rest after the flight. Night at the hotel.

2 day. Breakfast. Departure to the territory of volcano Tolbachik (about 12 hours). Stop at the village Milkovo. Dinner at the café. Arrival to the camp “Kleshnya” near volcano cone. Supper. Night in the tents.

3 day. Breakfast. Walking on the consolidated lava flow of the eruption of 2012-13. Passage along the lava flow, view of the interesting places of the consolidated lava, the warm cracks. The cave on the lava flow. Passage to the cone “Naboko” where the eruption of 2012-13 has happened. View of the cave with stalactites and stalagmites. Dinner – lunch-boxes taken from the camp. View of the crack with the hot lava. Descent and view of the cave “Bolshaya”. Return to the camp. Supper. Night in the tent.

4 day. Breakfast. View of the caves “Krasivaya” and “Goryatchaya”. Descent to the cave “Goryacthaya” is impossible at this moment because it hasn`t got cold yet after eruption.

Dinner – lunch-boxes taken from the camp. Return to the camp climbing the cone “Kleshnya”. The beautiful view on the camp, the flows of the consolidated lava and surrounding volcanoes and cones. Descent do the camp. Supper. Night in the tent.

5 day. Breakfast. Removal to the camp and passage to the cone “Zvezda” of 1974-75 eruption. Walking through the Dead forest. View of the caves where the lava flew during the eruption of 1974-75 near the cone “Zvezda”. Dinner: lunch-boxes. Return to the camp near the cone “Zvezda”. Supper. Night in the tent.

6 day. Breakfast. Early way out to the caves of the former eruptions. Passage to the caves passes through the Dead forest with the fancy and fantastic landscapes. View of the old caves of Tolbachik in great quantity. These are the caves of thousand years old. Return to the camp. Supper. Night in the tent.

7 day. Breakfast. Passage to the village Esso. Hotel accommodation. Rest and bathing in the thermal pool. Baths. Supper. Night in the tent.

8 day. Breakfast. Visit of the museum of Ethnography of the village Esso. Leaving for Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy. Dinner in the village Milkovo. Hotel accommodation in the city or on the thermal sources in the resort zone of Paratunka. Supper. Night at the hotel.

9 day. Breakfast. Transfer to the airport and visit of the fish market. Flight.

The agency provides a sleeping-bag, a tourist rug and trekking poles.

Additional information:

*Forclimbing caves it is necessary to have a jacket and trousers that could be thrown away then.

***The caves of the volcano Tolbachik are the natural monument of Kamchatka that`s why it is forbidden to break off and take different stalactites and other elements appeared in the result of the volcano activity for souvenirs.
